1. Make sure you choose a proper underlayment when you install a concrete mission S tile roof. This will vary according to the manual that comes with the tiles, specifying the fasteners to be used.
2. Choose a single ply 43# or 90# modifies of organic cap sheet, or a single ply that's "self adhered" directly to the deck.
3. Pick from a variety of two plies such as a modified or organic two ply "hot mop process" or a two ply "cold ply process" that's 30# or 43#/90#. You could also use a 30# or 43# two layer under the battens or a self adhered underlayment that's two ply 30#.
4. Remember to pre-load the roof with the tile so it grows accustomed to the weight of the concrete mission S tile roof.
5. Attach the tile by either putting it directly on the underlayment or by attaching it to a batten system. Use mechanical fasteners such as screws, clips or nails; mortar that's 10 inches in length; or a chemical foam that attached the tile to the roof.
6. Ensure that the ridges and hips of the roofs have a nail board when you install a concrete mission S tile roof.
7. Use caution when tightening the nail or screw as you install the tile, for this could crack the tile and weaken it. Likewise, make sure you apply enough chemical foam to prevent the tiles from falling from the roof after they are installed.
