Donate Electric Scooters In North Carolina

Donate your electric scooter through LifeNet's Wheelchair Project.

If you own an unused electric scooter, you can donate it to those who cannot afford to purchase their own. LifeNets, a non-profit organization, has a site which allows people with wheelchairs of any kind to exchange them with others. You can also donate through your local Muscular Dystrophy Association office.

Instructions

LifeNets

1. Go to the LifeNets Wheelchair Project web site, listed in the Resources section.

2. Click on the Donate Wheelchair tab after you have successfully registered. Read the donation terms and click "I Agree" to continue.

3. Fill out the client profile and click the Next button to proceed. Continue to provide information as requested to list your electric scooter as an available item. Your name and contact information will then be made available to those in need of a wheelchair.

4. Request a tax-deductible receipt from LifeNets once your wheelchair has been received. Click on the My Account tab, log in and go to the clinic info page. Fill out a receipt request form with the recipient's name, address and phone number or e-mail address.

5. Renew your listing through the My Account tab if it has not been requested after 90 days.
