Cottage style refers to a type of decor for interiors and exteriors that is characterized by a strongly relaxing feeling as well as sense of quaint rusticness. Instructions

2. Apply an even coat of oil-based primer to the porch with your paint roller. Give it two-to-four hours to dry. Apply a coat of cream oil-based paint with your paint roller to the entire porch: the interior and exterior, the columns and the sides. Give the paint 24 hours to dry and apply a second coat.
3. Add an vintage park bench to the porch. Outfit the bench with cushions in either a delicate floral pattern or pastel gingham. Throw a braided rug in a complementary color in front of the front door.
4. Make a table out of old shutters or vintage cupboard doors by nailing them to a sawhorse or wooden step stool. Use this as a coffee table for your porch.
