In MySims, for the Nintendo Wii, DS and PC, the player begins the game as a builder who has arrived in a nearly-abandoned town. As the builder, the player must create new buildings and homes to bring back the town's appeal. He can accomplished this by finding essences, a variety of items and building materials that can be used to enhance creations and complete missions. Terra cotta, considered a studious essence, is useful for making furniture such as desks. This essence can be found at the edge of the town's forest.
Instructions
1. Enter the town's forest by heading north, past the gate. Use your saw to cut down the log blocking your path, then continue into the forest.
2. Head past the tree and mushroom field in the middle of the forest. Continue walking until you reach a bridge.
3. Walk to the left, past the bridge, until you can see a large hill, and the lake. Walk around the lake in a clockwise direction. After walking for a short distance, a log is visible in the water. Walk across the log to the other side of the lake.
4. Walk past the cave, and keep walking until you reach several large trees and a crystal stuck in the ground beside them. Stand next to the crystal, and you are asked if you want to prospect.
5. Press the button on the screen to prospect. This button is different depending on which version of the game you are playing. Walk around the area until your prospecting detector beeps very quickly and flashes red. When the "Dig" prompt appears on the screen, press the same button as before. You have a 50-50 chance to receive terra cotta pots; you may find organic pots instead. Prospect again if you get an organic pot.
