Buy Dresses For Spring

When designers roll out their spring lines, they always include plenty of stylish dresses. Dresses are flattering, flirtatious and fun. They make every woman feel more feminine and they are generally easy to take care of. Dresses are versatile, which makes them great for those after-work date nights. Buy a dress and pair it with accessories and shoes you've already got in your closet, and you've got a great spring outfit for every occasion. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

1. Read fashion blogs and check out the March and April issues of popular fashion magazines for clues to the latest trends. Keep your eye on emerging trends on the streets of your hometown for inspiration for your spring wardrobe.

2. Try on a bunch of different styles to see which one flatters your body best. Wrap dresses are great for pear shaped bodies, while empire waist dresses help elongate petite figures. Dresses wrapped tight with belts that drape at the waist are popular and they flatter every body type.

3. Choose traditional spring colors like navy, red and white. Make sure to include some neutral accessories in wood, khaki and gold. Mix things up by adding some fun new colors from recent haute couture collections. Metallic dresses with front-tie belts, light purple cardigans wrapped around white dresses and melon-inspired dresses in green and orange are extremely popular right now.

4. Scoop up that dress you've had your eye on at an end-of-season sale. Look to retail stores for closeout spring dresses starting in mid-May, with massive savings starting in early June.

5. Buy trendy spring dresses from discount stores. Stores like Forever 21 and Old Navy produce designer knock-offs that look very similar to dresses you see on the runways in London, Paris and New York (see Resources below). Save the majority of your spring fashion budget for classic styles like shirtdresses or wrap dresses in solid colors.

6. Shop online for designer dresses at websites like Bluefly (see Resources below). Try them on in the mall, and then order them online for a savings of up to 40 percent. Be warned that some websites offer big savings, but they specialize in last year's dresses. Most people won't know the difference as long as you stay away from specific trends like metallic colors, crochet designs and floral prints.
