Clean Oak Chairs Naturally

Oak is a superior quality of wood that's known for its durability. People use oak in the making of many types of furniture, as it can easily fit into nearly any home decor. You may have oak chairs around your dining table or in sitting areas within your home. Oak is many times left as its original color or sometimes is finished with a stain that will match a room's color pattern. You can leave the chairs finished or unfinished, creating either a matte or gloss sheen. In either instance, you can clean oak chairs naturally. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

1. Pour lemon juice into a bowl, adding two tablespoons of lemon juice for each oak chair you will be cleaning. The lemon juice has a light acidic quality that will clean the chairs without damaging the oak.

2. Pour walnut oil into the same bowl, again adding two tablespoons for each chair you intend to clean. The walnut oil will moisturize and polish the wood, preventing over-drying, which can leave oak looking cracked and uncared for.

3. Pour lavender essential oil into the same bowl, adding one drop for each chair you wish to clean. This will react well with the lemon and walnut scents, creating a pleasantly scented cleaning product. Agitate the bowl to combine ingredients.

4. Dip a cleaning rag in the solution and wring out excess cleaning solution.

5. Wipe the damp rag over the chairs and repeat as needed until all chairs are clean. When finished, let the chairs air dry.
