In the open-world action game "Just Cause 2" you play as a CIA operative attempting to destabilize a tyrannical dictator in Polynesia. You can weaken the regime by attacking its power stations, oil rigs and military installations. Additional points are awarded for eliminating Colonels and Generals in the army. They can be found all over the large, open world map, particularly in military bases, surrounded by heavily armed elite soldiers.
Instructions
1. Press the pause button to open the map. Pull the right trigger on the controller to open the sub-menu containing the list of Colonels and Generals. The list won't give you their exact locations, but some of their bio entries provide hints as to which settlement they occupy. There is also a counter that displays how many generals remain in each given map sector, so you'll know when you've killed them all.
2. Head to the nearest military base or settlement on your map. There is no exact location provided for each Colonel, so it is a matter of being vigilant for them when you are in a likely area. The Colonel will appear with a large marker over his head, as with mission objectives, they will also be surrounded by a group of elite soldiers, so a close-range assault on foot is not recommended.
3. Acquire an armed helicopter. Either steal one from the military base or call in an Agency drop using 'up' on the directional pad. If calling in a drop, also obtain a sniper rifle or rocket launcher in case the helicopter assault fails. Satchel charges are also useful.
4. Approach the Colonel's location quickly and start to "crab" around him. This involves circling the Colonel while keeping the nose of the helicopter trained on him. Hold down the machine gun fire button and hammer the rockets, covering the area as liberally as possible. The Colonel and his men will be armed with heavy weapons, so it is possible they can shoot you down. If your helicopter catches fire before the Colonel is dead, you can use the additional weapons you obtained from the Agency.
5. Position the chopper directly over the Colonel and bail out. Hopefully it will land on him and explode. Use your grappling hook to put some distance between you and the enemies, enough that they struggle to hit you with their SMGs and shotguns. Lay several satchel charges and retreat a little further. Use the sniper rifle or rocket launcher to try and take out the Colonel from a distance. If they try and approach you, set off the satchel charges as the Colonel is standing right by them.
