Get The Doomsword In The Sims Medieval

The Doomsword is a weapon in "The Sims Medieval." The sword has an attack of 10, but wielding it or sharpening it gives your character the doomed debuff, which lowers your character's focus by 50 points. The Doomsword is not required for any of the quests, but it can be fun and useful to create.

Instructions

Find the Doomsword Blade and Hilt

1. Pick a character that is either already at a high level or you want to level up quickly. Although you have a higher chance of success if you use a high level character, jumping into the Judgment Pit is a great way of leveling up because you gain 200 experience points if you survive. Characters have a higher chance of surviving if they are at a high level, have previously "made nice" with the beast and if they have certain traits.

2. Stock up on moderate and strong healing salves (purchased at the village shoppe or from the physician). If your character survives, chances are he or she will be severely wounded. The salves help your character heal faster.

3. Save your game, as your character has a good chance of dying after descending into the Judgment Pit. If you forget to save, quit without saving or you'll lose your character.

4. Jump into the Judgment Pit. After jumping, a random event may occur that asks you to either move left or right. Choose one direction and write it down. If you survive the pit, you will receive either the Doomsword blade or the hilt.

5. Give the Doomsword piece to your blacksmith by opening the active character's inventory and drag the sword piece over to the blacksmith or the blacksmith's forge.

6. Save your game if your character survives. If he or she is healthy and still in a good mood, you can jump again immediately, otherwise wait before trying again. You don't need to gather all the pieces during the same quest, nor do you need to have the same character gather all the pieces.

7. Continue jumping until you get the other piece of the Doomsword. When the random event occurs a second time, pick the opposite direction. When you have the second piece, bring it to the blacksmith.

Assemble the Sword

8. Find and read the "Manual of Blacksmithing: The Cursed Doomsword." This book is randomly given during the game. It may be offered for sale by various creatures during a quest as your character travels to or from the village or while walking through the forest. If you get the manual, give it to your blacksmith.

9. Pick a quest that requires the blacksmith. You can do this when your Quest Points are gone using the free time quest. Your blacksmith will need to be at level 10 to unlock the Doomsword.

10. Mine until you have four adamantle in your inventory. Adamantle can be found to the left of the castle entrance (knight's side), near the wall behind the merchant's house, near the wall by the training yard and kingball court, or between the training yard and the cemetery.

11. Mine mithral until you have three in your inventory. Mithral can be found on the beach, near the lighthouse, in front of the spy's quarters and between the two churches.

12. Mine mana stone until you have four in your inventory. Mana stone can be found near the lighthouse behind the big rock, near the wizard's tower, next to the Watcher Pavilion and to the left of the Jacoban Cathedral.

13. Use the blacksmith to forge the sword. If you haven't crafted a higher level hammer for your blacksmith, you may want to do so before you try to craft the sword. It is also important to remember that forging is not automatic (although they will do it successfully without your interaction). You need to keep the heat bar in the orange and click on the fire before it turns blue or the anvil before it turns red.
