Things To Do After You Beat "Red Dead Redemption"

After completing Red Dead Redemption by Rockstar Games, including the main mission and subsequent side missions and challenges, the son of John Marston continues to have options to entertain. Although the cowboy era may be coming to an end, it doesn't mean that your fun in New Austin is over as well.

Bounty Hunting

Taking up his father's trade, the young Jack Marston can continue to take on bounty hunting missions even after all other missions are completed. You can achieve 100 percent game completion if you don't complete every bounty; bounties are available at all times. Visit any main settlement or city in either New Austin or Mexico and look for the skull icon on your map. Bounties can be collected by either killing the target or capturing the target; the latter has a higher price tag. But the bounty is never alone; you will have to fight your way through his gang members before capturing him, if that is what you choose. If so, you will also face more gang members as you race to your destination.

Gang Hideouts

Gang hideouts can be cleared at any time during the game, as long as you wait 24 hours, in-game, to clear it again. Only one objective exists when clearing the gang hideouts: Kill all the members. New Austin -- the United States side of the map -- has seven hideouts, while Mexico has five. These can be cleared as many times as you want, offering you a chance to beat your previous scores for speed and shooting accuracy.

Horse Breaking Jobs

If you want to collect more money to buy weapons, ammo, medicine or survivalist maps, two horse breaking jobs are available after you have completed the game, at Ridgewod Farm and Chuparosa. For this job, first speak to the person indicated on your map and then head out into the fields and find a horse to break. Horse breaking is a simple way to earn easy money or find a new horse for yourself.

Night Watch Jobs

Night watch jobs are located at MacFarlane's Ranch, Chuparosa and Blackwater. Led by a dog, you patrol the neighborhood after hours looking for crimes, such as a fist fight, a horse theft, a robbery, a women being harassed by a gang or a rogue breaking into a building. The crime is indicated on your map, but the dog will start barking and run to the scene of the crime. You have the option to either hog-tie the criminals or kill them; it's your choice. At the end of the mission, return to the sheriff for payment.
