Donate a television to a San Diego charity to help out.
Between flat screens, 3-D and HD technology, there's always a reason to upgrade your televisions. If you're ready to get rid of an old television in San Diego, California, donate it to a charity. Charities can either resell it, or use it to bring enjoyment to a room full of people who need a laugh. San Diego has a number of charities that would welcome a television. Make someone happy and get rid of a television you aren't using anymore by donating it.
Instructions
1. Bring your television to a San Diego Goodwill. Drop it off at 4359 Home Avenue, 939 16th Street or 8145 Mira Mesa Blvd. Suite 2a; between 9am and 8pm, Monday through Saturday or 9am to 6pm on Sunday.
2. Navigate to SDFutures.org. Click on "Our Work" on the blue toolbar on the right of the page. Click on the "Recycling and Salvage" option in the list. Click on "Computers" from the bulleted list. Click on the "Recycle Form" link in the fourth paragraph. Schedule a drop off between 9am and 3pm at 4275 El Cajon Blvd. #200 to donate to the San Diego Futures Foundation.
3. Call 858-625-1515 and ask to speak to a representative of the San Diego Children's Coalition. Explain that you have a television and want to donate it to a children's organization. They will direct you to the place most in need of your television.
4. Drop off your television at 5150 University Avenue or 3055 University Avenue between 9am and 4pm, Monday through Friday to help the San Diego Rescue Mission, which works with the homeless.
