Donate Storm Windows In Minnesota

If you're replacing your old storm windows and you're not sure of what to do with them, consider donating them to a Habitat ReStore. A Habitat ReStore accepts donations of new and used building supplies and home items, and re-sells them at more than half the cost of the retail price. The proceeds from the ReStore support Habitat for Humanity in building homes for people in need. Donating to a Habitat ReStore is simple, and having 10 Habitat ReStore sites in Minnesota makes it very convenient.

Instructions

1. Clean the storm windows. Check them to make sure that they are not scratched or broken. The storm windows must be in salable condition.

2. Contact your local Habitat ReStore site to find a good time to drop off your donation. To find the site closest to you, contact Habitat for Humanity at 612-331-4439, or access the website at hfhmn.org to find a listing of sites in your area.

3. Obtain a receipt from Habitat ReStore. Your donation is tax-deductible, however you will be responsible for declaring the value of the goods that were donated.
