Donate Furniture for Pick Up in Miami
If you have some furniture that you no longer need or want to keep in Miami, you don't have to try to sell it on your own. Instead, you can donate your furniture to a local charitable organization in Miami. You don't even need to have a pickup truck to take your furniture to a donation center; organizations exist in Miami that will come pick up any furniture that you want to donate. Instructions
1. Contact a charitable organization, once you have selected one, to set up an appointment for your furniture to be picked up. Some Miami organizations that pick up furniture donations include the Salvation Army, St. Vincent DePaul Society, Miami Rescue Mission and the With Causes Charitable Network (see Resources).
2. Clean the furniture before the charity arrives to pick it up. Typically you can only donate furniture that is in good, clean condition.
3. Set your furniture out by the curb or in an easy-to-access place on the day of the scheduled pickup. If you have some especially heavy furniture that you cannot move on your own, you can leave it in your home if you will be present when the driver arrives to pick up the furniture.
4. Ask for your donation receipt from the driver who picks up the furniture. If you're not going to be home for the pickup, leave a note for the driver, requesting the receipt.
