Abilene offers a number of historic venues perfect for weddings and receptions, like the Paramount Theater built in 1930.

An elegant two-story brick house built in 1927, the Vintage House Bed and Breakfast was restored to its original beauty in 1999. The building offers a quiet, antiquated setting and welcomes weddings and receptions. Spaced to include a large living room area, a warm dining room and a sun room, most of which are painted a tranquil baby blue and features golden oak floors. Antique furniture and decorations are found throughout the house; furniture including mahogany banquet tables, Victorian sitting benches, as well as a chandelier, marble fireplace, and an ornately-carved antique pump organ adorning the living room.
The Grace Museum
A truly unique venue housed in a historic hotel built in 1909, the Grace Museum features impeccable wedding venues including an elegant marble ballroom featuring dark green walls and pillars topped with intricately-carved capitals and an enclosed courtyard facing a glass atrium. A number of galleries and open areas exist within the museum, each showcasing the building's Mission Revival-style architecture, while the building's most often used wedding and reception area is its open-air rooftop terrace overlooking the city of Abilene. The museum offers a number of wedding packages designed around a specific venue, each including photography and DJ services.
Lytle Cove Cottage
An exquisite two-story Victorian cottage 10 miles south of Abilene, the Lytle Cover Cottage sits on five acres consisting of elaborate gardens and a number of beautiful venues for any wedding ceremony and includes a Victorian arbor in the front gardens and a rustic pavilion located in the expansive country gardens located in the back of the estate. An hospitable staff takes care of all preparations, while wedding packages include accommodations for the bride and groom in the cottage's Victorian bridal suites as well as guest lodgings and the use of an indoor reception area dressed in warm decor and adorned with antique wooden furnishings.
The Paramount Theater
Opened in 1930, the Paramount Theater is one of Abilene's most unique venues. The illustrious movie palace features Spanish-Moorish architecture, most notably seen in its auditorium which resembles an old Spanish town with a domed ceiling painted like a night sky with stars and passing clouds illuminated by the house lights. The elaborate architecture has been painstakingly restored, including the antique lighting fixtures, the deep red drapes and gold-trimmed tormentor, and the expansive multilevel lobby featuring a grand mezzanine and antique furniture. The theater may be rented for weddings and receptions with rental prices including the use of the theater's state-of-the-art lighting and sound equipment, retrofitted during the theater's original restoration in 1986 and upgraded in 2006 and 2009.
