North Carolina Art Funding Grants

North Carolina grants support all manner of arts.

Funding for individual artists and arts projects in North Carolina is often available through the many grant programs at the state and regional levels. Grants may be used for a variety of individual projects in the visual, performing and literary arts, and organizations can find numerous resources for community-based art projects, arts education and cultural awareness projects.

North Carolina Arts Council Art Grants

The North Carolina Arts Council offers art grants to both organizations and individual artists. Organizational grants are available to fund projects in arts education, art outreach programs, community art projects and funding for regional arts councils. Individual artists working in the performing, visual and literary arts are eligible to receive $10,000 artist fellowships to help further their artistic endeavors. Funds may not be used to pay for an academic degree. Grants are also available to individual artists in the form of a paid residency at either the Headlands Center for the Arts or the Vermont Studio Center.
