Donate Used Appliances In New Jersey

Clean your appliance before donationg.

Working appliances in good condition don't need to go to a landfill when they can be reused by individuals or organizations who need them. Residents across New Jersey can donate appliances to non-profits and receive a tax receipt for the fair market value of the goods. The items themselves may be given to needy people, or the proceeds from the item can be used to fund non-profit programs. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

1. Bring appliances to your local Salvation Army (salvationarmy.org). Salvation Army drop-off locations and thrift stores are located across the state. Proceeds from your old appliance sales go to fund the organization's rehabilitation programs.

2. Give old appliances to the Western Monmouth Habitat for Humanity, located in Freehold, NJ (westmonhabitat.org). The Morris County Habitat for Humanity ReStore also accepts appliance donations (morrishabitat.org).

3. Drop materials off at Freehold, NJ's CentraState Healthcare Foundation thrift shop (centrastatefoundation.org). Proceeds benefit CentraState Medical Center.

4. Schedule an item pickup with the Rescue Mission of Trenton (rescuemissionoftrenton.org). This organization accepts working appliances, clothing and furniture for donation.
