Grants In Durham North Carolina For Small Business Owners

You may find a grant for your small business in Durham, NC.

Grants for for-profit small businesses is a popular topic of conversation amongst entrepreneurs. Although grants for small businesses are rare, they do exist. According to Grants.gov, "a federal grant is an award of financial assistance from a federal agency to a recipient to carry out a public purpose of support or stimulation authorized by a law of the United States." You could re-purpose this definition to fit a city, state, or private organization.

The City of Durham offers three grant programs to for-profit businesses. NC IDEA, a non-profit that promotes innovation, offers grants for small businesses in high-tech fields.
