Assemble swivel stools for comfortable seating and easy working maneuverability.
Swivel stools and swiveling bar stools are often packaged in boxes marked "some assembly required." The seats are left off and sometimes the legs to reduce package size for efficient shipping. Manufacturers typically include the wrench or hex key wrench needed for assembling a swivel stool with all the necessary hardware and a pictorial instruction sheet. Does this Spark an idea?
Instructions
1. Place the seat frame on the floor with the swiveling plate down. Slip the bolts at the top end of a stool leg into the holes in the seat frame. Slip a flat washer, then a lock washer over bolts where they protrude through the frame. Twist nuts onto both bolts as far as possible by hand. Tighten the nuts firmly with the wrench provided in the hardware bag. Secure the other three legs to the seat frame in the same way.
2. Put the round or rounded corner square separator between the four legs and line up the holes in the separator with the holes on the legs. Push screws through the holes in the separator and into the legs. Tighten the screws with a Phillips screwdriver.
3. Place the seat of the swivel stool upside down on the floor. Remove the seat screws from the bottom of the seat with a Phillips screwdriver if the manufacturer packed them in the seat. Turn the swiveling plate on the seat frame to a position that leaves all four holes visible from the underside. Put the frame over the seat bottom and line up the holes in the swivel plate with the holes in the seat. Slip a lock washer, then a flat washer, on each the screws and place one through each hole in the bottom of the swivel plate and into the holes in the seat. Tighten the four screws with a Phillips screwdriver or hex key wrench.
4. Turn the swivel stool upright and spin the seat to test the swiveling action.
