Creekside Manor
Located in Williamsport, Maryland, Creekside Manor is a 16-room haunted house which opens in September and closes the weekend after Halloween. Visitors from around the state come to visit "Mabel," a spirit of a woman who was allegedly murdered in the house. Each year, a different plotline is created to provide a fresh and exciting scare each time you visit. Although the haunted house is not recommended for young children, "Mabel's Fun House" is also located on the property and provides fun for the whole family.

Fort Howard Dungeons
With a mission to provide a scare that visitors won't soon forget, the Fort Howard Dungeons do indeed provide a memorable Halloween experience. Open on weekends through October, this historic fort used to house soldiers during the War of 1812 and later during the Civil War. It is said to be haunted with actual spirits who occupy the dungeons. Visitors may also run into the likes of Hannibal Lecter, Freddy Krueger, and other famous frightening figures. Located on the peninsula of Sparrows Point in Baltimore County, Fort Howard's one hour walking tour of the dungeons and surrounding grounds is sure to put a scare in even the bravest of ghost hunters.

The House of Screams
Although it is located in Baltimore's Eastpoint Mall, the House of Screams is Maryland's largest haunted house. This two-story fright factory provides ample opportunity to be scared out of your mind. Boasting over 80,000 square feet of room for an intensely frightening experience, the House of Screams is allegedly haunted by the spirit of a woman who practiced voodoo and lured unsuspecting visitors into her house. While most never lived to tell, a couple is said to have escaped the house and now share the tales of torture and despair.

The Asylum
For 23 years, Prince George's Stadium has been transformed into an extreme haunted house. Every Friday and Saturday night in October, the Asylum is open and provides non-stop excitement for visitors from all over Maryland. Although normally used as a baseball stadium for the Bowie Baysox, the haunted house hires professional actors to raise the scare factor, and the production team transforms the stadium into a heart-stopping fright fest for all.

Markoff's Haunted Forest
One of Maryland's most popular Halloween attractions, Markoff's Haunted Forest provides two different trails to enhance your experience. Located on a farm in Montgomery County, the land is transformed each fall into an extremely scary haunted forest, including several different scenes and a large cast of characters. While the forest itself is the main attraction, Markoff's has expanded the attraction yearly, and it has become one of the largest Halloween destinations in the state. With a zip line, hay rides, food, drink, ghost hunts, and a wide variety of other activities, it is easy to find something that interests everybody.
